Playcidium Mint Wins Lee-Steere Classic

Monday, 6th December 2010

Woodside Park's stakes-winning & Gr1-placed sire Foreplay (Danehill-Procrastinate, by Jade Hunter) added a group success (& 3rd individual stakes-winner) when daughter Playcidium Mint (Foreplay-Sercidium, by Serheed) snatched victory by a nose against her male rivals in the $125,000 Gr3 Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic (1400m) for 3YOs at Ascot. Playcidium Mint (ridden by Troy Turner for trainer Craig Wright) defeated favoured gelding Black Felix (Blackfriars-Catch The Cat, by Royal Abjar) & fellow gelding Veracious (Systematic-Royal Lace, by Serheed). Playcidium Mint (a $25,000 yearling consigned by Alwyn Park at the 2009 Magic Millions Perth Premier Sale) now has 2 wins from 4 starts for $94,350 earnings.
