On the Australian track, Durham Lodge Thoroughbred Stud's Gr1 Victoria Derby winner Blackfriars (Danehill-Kensington Gardens, by Grosvenor) added a Gr1-triumph when favoured 3YO colt Playing God (Blackfriars-Dolly Will Do, by Rubiton) notched his 3rd successive stakes-win in 3 weeks with a half-length victory over his older rivals in the $500,000 weight-for-age Gr1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot in Perth. Playing God (ridden by Steven Parnham for trainer Neville Parnham) defeated 4YO mare Impressive Jeuney (Jeune-Rego's Girl, by Rory's Jester) & 4YO entire Trusting (Tale Of The Cat-Legible, by Zabeel).
