Darci Brahma Half-Brother At NZB Karaka Premier

Tuesday, 7th December 2010

In New Zealand, the Oaks Stud's 5-time Gr1-winning & 5-time Gr1-placed 8YO freshman stallion Darci Brahma (Danehill-Grand Echezeaux, by Zabeel) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO colt Super Easy (Darci Brahma-Parfore, by Gold Brose) scored on debut over 1000m at Trentham on the weekend. Darci Brahma (a sale-topping NZ$1.1 million yearling purchase by Te Akau Stud's David Ellis at the NZ Bloodstock 2004 Karaka Premier Sale) headed both the NZ 2YO & 3YO Free Handicaps & retired in 2007 with 10 wins & 5 placings from 19 starts. A half-brother to Darci Brahma (who stood the 2010 breeding season at The Oaks Stud for NZ$20,000+GST) will go under the hammer at the upcoming NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale at Karaka: a colt by Waikato Stud's Australian-bred stallion Pins.
