Nikolic "Undecided" About Future Riding In Victoria
Embattled jockey Dan Nikolic "remains undecided if he will continue riding in Victoria", but will not appeal against the severity of his 2-month suspension & $10,000 fine imposed by Victoria's Racing Appeals & Disciplinary Board last month, reported The Herald-Sun. Nikolic, 36, pleaded guilty to "conduct prejudicial to the image, interest & welfare of racing after an implosion in the stewards' room" at Flemington on Oaks Day. Nikolic (who can resume riding on January 26) said he had a "raft of options, including riding in India or Singapore, relocating to Queensland & staying in Melbourne". He summed up: "I'm having a break at the moment & I'll think over what I'll do."
