Monday, 13th December 2010

Flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & current Australian Champion sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a group success when favoured daughter King's Rose (Redoute's Choice-Nureyev's Girl, by Nureyev) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the NZ$70,000 Gr3 Eulogy Stakes (1600m) for 3YO fillies at Awapuni (& 4th leg of the NZ Bloodstock Filly-Of-The-Year series). King's Rose (ridden by Opie Bosson for trainer Jason Bridgman) defeated Kiwi Lady (Ruby's Jester-Luscious Lady, by Al Akbar) & Rememba Howe (Handsome Ransom-Yachting Magic, by Yachtie). King's Rose now has 4 wins (also including November's Gr1 NZ Bloodstock 1000 Guineas over 1600m at Riccarton Park & October's Listed Ray Coupland Stakes over 1400m at Ashburton) & a runner-up from 8 starts for NZ$261,390 earnings. King's Rose also maintained her lead on the NZ Bloodstock Filly-Of-The-Year table with 18 points (ahead of Remember Howe on 7.5 points).
