US Jockey Valdes To Plead Guilty In Race-Fixing Case
Assistant US Attorney David Morris announced he has "a plea deal" with jockey Ricardo Valdes, who "plans to plead guilty to conspiring to fix horse races," reported bloodhorse.com. Valdes was charged last year with conspiring with 2 Detroit businessmen "to influence the outcome of some horse races, including races at Tampa Bay Downs in Florida & Delaware Downs in Delaware in 2005 & 2006".
