Meanwhile columnist Craig Young declared in The Sydney Morning Herald: "Now for racing's overloaded festive season. The impending schedule is another blight on the programming of race meetings. The continuing shemozzle batters racetracks, but no one seems to care. The track curator's nightmare is a year-round headache for those charged with producing a level playing field of the type prized thoroughbreds can grace without the hint of that ugly word - bias. Just look at what took place last week. How did those in charge allow Rosehill to host 3 meetings within eight days? It just doesn't make sense. Plain dumb, really."
