US Jockey Cliff Berry Wins 7-From-7 At Remington

Tuesday, 14th December 2010

After winning 5 races the previous evening, US jockey Cliff Berry followed-up by winning all 7 races in which he had mounts at Remington Park. Berry "became the 1st US rider since Russell Baze at Bay Meadows in August 2006 to go 7-for-7 on the same card" reported bloodhorse.com. Tim Moccasin in 2001 & Richard DePass in 1980 "are the only other known US jockeys to go 7-for-7 on a single program". However Eddie Castro "owns the record for most wins on a single card with 9 (from 11 mounts) at Calder Race Course in 2005". Berry had won 6 races on a single program 3 other times.
