EXCLUSIVE 2: Is Rasmussen Factor Still Relevant?

The revered Rasmussen Factor refers to in-breeding to superior females through different individuals. In the latest issue of Breeding&Racing Magazine (out next week) breeding authority Jane Henning from Pedigree Dynamics asks: "Eleven years on from the initial highlighting of this phenomenon & on the other side of the globe, how is the Rasmussen Factor faring in Australia?" Her conclusions include: "There are 40% more RF horses in the Gr1-winning sample than in the random yearling sample."
