1st Stakes-Winner for US Sire Momentum

US 12-year-old stallion Momentum (Nureyev-Imprudent Love, by Foolish Pleasure) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when 4YO mare Catsalot (Momentum-Clerical Error, by Kendor) scored a 3.25-lengths victory in the US$75,600 Listed Pacific Heights Stakes (9 furlongs) for fillies & mares at Golden Gate Fields in California. Catsalot (ridden by Julien Couton for trainer Leonard Powell) defeated 3YO filly Antares World (Decarchy-Alashir's World, by Spinning World) & fellow 4YO mare I Can Hear (Freespool-Bend My Ear, by Moscow Ballet). Catsalot now has 5 wins & 12 placings (including August's Listed Thoroughbred Owners Of California Handicap over 11 furlongs at Del Mar & 2009's Listed California Cup Distance Handicap over 10 furlongs at Santa Anita) from 26 starts for US$246,721 earnings. Her sire Momentum (who entered stud in 2005) stands for US$5,000 at Vessels Stallion Farm in California.
