Colour Correct Wins C.B.Cox Stakes

On the Australian track, multiple Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler High Yield (Storm Cat-Scoop The Gold, by Forty Niner) added group success when 6YO gelding Colour Correct (High Yield-Never Blue, by Military Plume) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the $225,000 weight-for-age Gr2 C.B.Cox Stakes (2100m) at Ascot in Perth. Colour Correct (ridden by Paul Harvey for trainers Ross & Clint Price) scored by a half-head from 5YO mare Admiring (Street Cry-Ballet Girl, by Covetous) with a further head to 5YO gelding Big Ted (Marooned-La Bolero, by Salieri). Colour Correct now has 7 wins (also including November's Listed Ascot Gold Cup over 1800m & October's Gr3 Asian Beau Stakes over 1400m at Ascot) & 10 placings (including both October's Listed Northerly Stakes over 1400m at Ascot & Listed Birthday Stakes over 1200m at Belmont Park, plus 2009's Gr1 Railway Stakes over 1600m at Ascot, Gr3 R.J.Reeves Stakes over 1500m at Ascot & Listed Northerly Stakes over 1400m at Ascot) from 22 starts for $539,905 earnings.
