5 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

Also in Hong Kong yesterday, 5 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Sha Tin:

  • 3YO gelding All Victory (Antonious Pius-River Princess, by Victory Prince) won over 1200m for trainer Tony Cruz.
  • 5YO gelding Lombardi (Flying Spur-Our Sousy, by Silver Hawk) won over 1200m for trainer Ricky Yiu. Lombardi was a $140,000 yearling consigned by Bellerive Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 7YO gelding My Whisky (Cape Cross-Trizeel, by Zabeel) won over 1400m for trainer Me Tsui. My Whisky was passed-in for $38,000 as a yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale.
  • 3YO gelding Liberator (Encosta de Lago-Miss Helga, by Alzao) won over 1800m for trainer David Ferraris. Liberator was a $360,000 yearling consigned by Curraghmore Stud at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka.
  • 3YO gelding Captain Sweet (Fastnet Rock-Strega, by Lake Coniston) won over 1400m for expatriate Australian trainer John Moore. Captain Sweet was a $60,000 yearling at the 2009 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
