Callaghan Park To Resume Racing From March 19

Racing Queensland announced that “following the completion of a full week of remediation work at Callaghan Park, a strategy has been implemented that should see thoroughbred racing resume in Rockhampton from March 19”. Although the facilities & infrastructure “are being quickly reinstated, the main component of the remediation process is the course proper”. While the initial prognosis for the turf was concerning, Racing Queensland facilities maintenance & development manager Warren Williams “has implemented a stringent program that he expects will see the turf rejuvenated by mid-March”.
