Milo Wins NZ Gore Guineas
NZ Berkley Stud's Australian-bred stallion Coats Choice (Redoute's Choice-Coat, by Brocco) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when favoured gelding Milo (Coast Choice-Milk And Honey, by Woodman) gained the judge’s decision in a 3-way photo-finish to the NZ$45,000 Listed Gore Guineas (1355m) for 3YOs at Gore. Milo (ridden by David Walsh for trainer Michael Pitman) scored by a half-head from the filly Andromache (Charge Forward-Mythical Play, by Defensive Play) with a further long-neck to another filly She’s A Cougar (One Cool Cat-Smooch, by Rory's Jester). Milo (a NZ$20,000 2YO at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock South Island Sale) now has 3 wins & a placing from 4 starts for NZ$37,887 earnings.
