NZB Select Yearlings Day-2: NZ$170k Iffraaj Colt

In the NZ auction ring, Walter & Kathy Alteri's Victorian-based Newlands Thoroughbreds paid top price of NZ$170,000 for a colt by Darley's 2010 boom European freshman stallion & Haunui Farm shuttler Iffraaj (the 9th foal out of stakes-winning 15-year-old Jugah mare French Flute) during the middle session at the 3-day NZ Bloodstock Select Yearling Sale (following this week's initial 2-day Premier Yearling Sale & to be followed by the 2-day Festival Yearling Sale) at Karaka in Auckland. The colt was consigned by Trelawney Stud & his dam French Flute has previously produced NZ stakes-placed Vanity Fair & NZ 6-time-winner Brilliant Flash.
