Lady Lynette Wins Bow Mistress Trophy

Tasmania's Armidale Stud stallion Ladoni (Danehill-Lilac Charm, by Bustino) added a black-type success when favoured 6YO mare Lady Lynette (Ladoni-Queen's Own, by Coronation Day) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the $150,000 weight-for-age Listed Bow Mistress Trophy (1200m) for fillies & mares at Hobart. Lady Lynette (ridden by Brendon McCoull for trainers David & Scott Brunton) defeated fellow 6YO mare & stable-mate I'm A Hussy (West Quest-Vain Dane, by Ladoni) & 4YO mare Happy Angel (Happy Giggle-Angel's Wing, by Anabaa). Lady Lynette (a $13,000 yearling consigned by Armidale Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions Tasmanian Select Sale) took her record to 11 wins (also including 2010's Gr3 Tesio Stakes over 1600m at Mooney Valley, plus 2009's Gr3 Independent Cranes Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley, Listed Carsales.com.au Classic over 1600m at Caulfield & Listed Vamos Stakes over 1400m at Launceston) & 11 placings (including 2010's Gr2 Stocks Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley, Gr3 Cockram Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield & Listed carsales.com.au Classic over 1600m at Caulfield, plus 2009's Gr1 Myer Classic over 1600m at Flemington & Gr2 Matriarch Stakes over 2000m at Flemington) from 33 starts for $692,633 earnings.
