Revamped Melb Festival Of Racing Launched

The revamped Melbourne Festival Of Racing was officially launched yesterday by Victorian Minister For Racing Denis Napthine. The late Summer-early Autumn Festival (running from this Saturday 12 February at Caulfield until Friday night 25 March at Moonee Valley) showcases 45 Group & Listed races worth $12 million alone. The new structure sees Gr1 racing on 5 consecutive Saturdays from this weekend & culminating for the first time under lights at Moonee Valley with the Gr1 William Reid Stakes. The Festival also includes over 700 yearlings catalogued for the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale at Oaklands in Melbourne (from 27 February-3 March).
