US Gr1-Winner Forest Danger To Stand In Jamaica

US Gr1-winning 10-year-old stallion Forest Danger (Forestry-Starry Ice, by Ice Age) "who was represented by his 1st stakes-winner from 2 crops of racing age when Ice Mist won the Listed Jersey Lilly Stakes on February 5 at Sam Houston Park in Texas, will stand the 2011 season at Everglade Farm in Kingston in Jamaica" reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Forest Danger stood his initial 4 seasons at Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky (the initial 3 at US$20,000) & ranked 29th among freshman sires in 2009 with US$293,405 progeny earnings; last year he moved to WinRich Farm in Indiana for a private fee. Forest Danger's initial 2 crops of racing age include 151 foals with 56 winners from 87 starters who have earned $2,039,582. On the track, Forest Danger won 5 of 8 starts (including the Gr1 Carter Handicap & Gr3 Bay Shore Stakes) & set a track record at Gulfstream Park for 6.5 furlongs in 1min 14.44sec; he also finished runner-up in the Gr3 Withers Stakes & retired with US$423,000 earnings.
