Bid Spotter Wins Hobart Cup

Flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & current Australian Champion sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a group success when 5YO gelding Bid Spotter (Redoute's Choice-Isolda, by Sir Tristram) scored a half-length victory in yesterday's $300,000 Gr3 Hobart Cup (2200m) at Tattersalls's Park in Hobart. Bid Spotter (ridden by Michael Rodd for trainer Graeme Rogerson) defeated 7YO gelding Organised (Commands-Innocent Kiss, by Military Plume) & 6YO gelding Davcon (Anglia-Royal Persepoly, by Persepolis). Bid Spotter (an $850,000 yearling consigned by Baramul Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) now has 6 wins (also including 2009's Listed City Tattersalls Club Cup over 2400m at Randwick) & 4 placings (including his previous 2 starts in both January's Listed Frank Underwood Cup over 2000m at Rosehill & Listed Australia Day Cup over 2400m at Warwick Farm, plus 2008's Listed Breeders Plate over 1100m at Randwick) from 26 starts for $437,665 earnings.
