Dusty Star Wins D'Urban Stakes

Deceased dual Gr1-winning former Widden Stud stallion General Nediym (Nediym-Military Belle, by Without Fear) added a group success (& 31st individual stakes-winner) when front-running gelding Dusty Star (General Nediym-Forever Midnight, by Snippets) scored a 1-length victory in the $180,000 Gr2 D'Urban Stakes (1400m) for 3YOs at Caulfield. Dusty Star (ridden by Craig Williams for trainer Peter Morgan) defeated favoured fellow gelding Under The Eiffel (Mossman-Spire, by Danehill) & another gelding Éclair Mystic (Stratum-Leica Smile, by At Talaq). Dusty Star (originally a $130,000 weanling consigned by Glenmore Park at the 2008 Magic Millions National Sale & subsequently a $230,000 yearling at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) now has 4 wins & 7 placings from 13 starts for $218,855 earnings.
