Fantastic Light Adds French Black-Type

In France overnight, European 2001 Horse-Of-The-Year & 6-time Gr1-winning former Darley shuttler Fantastic Light (Rahy-Jood, by Nijinsky) added a black-type success when favoured 5YO gelding Livandar (Fantastic Light-Luna Caerla, by Caerleon) scored a 1-length victory in the €60,000 (A$78,000) Listed Grand Prix De La Riviera Cote D'Azur (2000m) for 4YOs & up at Cagnes-sur-Mer. Livandar (ridden by Ronan Thomas for trainer Philippe Van de Poele) defeated Irish-bred 6YO entire Cherry Linx (Linamix-Cherry Moon, by Quiet American) & 4YO entire Bling (Kingsalsa-Bricoleuse, by A.P.Indy). Livandar was a €7,000 (A$9,100) 2YO at the 2008 Arqana November Sale. Overall she now has 8 wins (also including 2010's Listed Prix Lyphard over 1900m at Deauville) & 5 placings (including 2010's Listed Prix Servanne over 1200m at Chantilly) from 18 starts.
