King's Rose Wins NZ Sir Tristram Fillies Classic

Flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & current Australian Champion sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a NZ group success when favoured daughter King's Rose (Redoute's Choice-Nureyev's Girl, by Nureyev) scored a 1-length victory in the NZ$100,000 Gr2 Cambridge Stud Sir Tristram Fillies Classic (2000m) for 3YO fillies at Te Rapa (& 8th leg of the 10-race NZ Bloodstock Filly-Of-The-Year series, in which King's Rose holds a commanding lead). King's Rose (ridden by Opie Bosson for trainer Jason Bridgman) defeated Insurgent (Ishiguru-Stella Attrice, by Star Way) & Annie Higgins (O'Reilly-Diva Belle, by Carnegie). King's Rose now has 6 wins (also including last month's Gr2 NZ Bloodstock Royal Stakes over 2000m at Ellerslie, plus 2010's Gr1 NZ Bloodstock 1000 Guineas over 1600m at Riccarton Park, Gr3 Eulogy Stakes over 1600m at Awapuni & Listed Ray Coupland Stakes over 1400m at Ashburton) & a runner-up from 10 starts for NZ$383,890 earnings.
