Master Harry Wins Royal Sovereign Stakes

Monday, 14th February 2011

Yarraman Park sire Magic Albert (Zeditave-Sally Lou, by Salieri) added a group success when his colt Master Harry (Magic Albert-Sri Lanka, by Sri Pekan) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the $175,000 Gr2 Royal Sovereign Stakes (1200m) for 3YO colts & geldings at Randwick. Master Harry (ridden by Tim Clark for trainer Peter Moody) scored by a short-half-head from fellow colt Audacious Spirit (Bel Esprit-Roskeel, by Zeditave) with a further nose to another colt Skilled (Commands-Dextrous, by Quest For Fame). Master Harry (a $100,00 yearling at the 2009 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney) now has 2 wins (also including 2010's Listed Streets Ice Cream Stakes over 1000m at Flemington) & a runner-up from 4 starts for $184,300 earnings.
