Triple Gr1-Winner Special Duty Heads To Tapit

Tuesday, 15th February 2011

Triple Gr1-winning 4YO mare Special Duty (Hennessy-Quest To Peak, by Distant View) who won both last season's UK Gr1 1000 Guineas & French Gr1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches-1000 Guineas "has remained in the US (following her run last November in the US Gr1 Matron Stakes at Hollywood Park) to be covered by leading young American sire Tapit," reported racingpost.com. Gr1-winning 2008 US Champion freshman sire Tapit (Pulpit-Tap Your Heels, by Unbridled) was represented by his 6th Gr1-winner earlier this month when Zazu took the Gr1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita. He stands at Gainesway Farm in Kentucky for US$80,000.
