4 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong last night, 4 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Happy Valley:

  • 4YO gelding Compact Yarn (Elvstroem-Forest Song, by Woodman) won over 1650m for trainer Ricky Yiu. Compact Yarn was a $170,000 yearling at the 2008 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
  • 5YO gelding Multiproud (Rossini-Proud Heart, by Caerleon) won over 1200m for trainer Tony Cruz.
  • 4YO gelding Ho Ho Star (Clangalang-Gaelic Jig, by Seattle Dancer) won over 1800m for trainer Dennis Yip. Ho Ho Star was a $3,000 yearling consigned by Oakford Thoroughbreds at the 2008 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale.
  • 5YO gelding Vitality Express (Zabeel-Breeze Hill, by Danehill) won over 1800m for Australian trainer John Size. Vitality Express was a $600,000 yearling consigned by Bloomsbury Stud at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
