Toorak Toff Back From Retirement For Stradbroke Campaign

Friday, 18th February 2011

Trainer Rick Hore-Lacy confirmed Gr1-winning 3YO colt Toorak Toff (Show A Heart-Orong, by Grand Lodge) "has returned to the track, after being retired late last year with a wind problem" reported racenet.com.au. Hore-Lacey explained that, following a throat operation, Toorak Toff worked for the 1st time yesterday morning & "his wind appears to be fine; he didn't make any noise at all. Naturally we are thrilled. He's relaxed & looking as good as he ever does. We've now got to build his fitness up & we are aiming towards the Gr1 Doomben 10,000 & Gr1 Stradbroke in the Brisbane winter." Toorak Toff (a $135,000 yearling consigned from Glenlogan Park at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) currently boasts 5 wins (including 2010's Gr1 Golden Rose over 1400m at Rosehill, Gr3 Jansz National Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville, Listed Vain Stakes over 1100m at Caulfield & Magic Millions Classic over 1200m at Morphettville) & 1 placing (in 2010's Gr3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude over 1400m at Caulfield) from 11 starts for $1,054,020 earnings.
