5 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

Also in Hong Kong yesterday, 5 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Sha Tin:

  • 5YO gelding Grandfield (Redoute's Choice-Game Promise, by Luskin Star) won over 1200m for trainer Derek Cruz. Grandfield was a $300,000 yearling consigned by Bellerive Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 3YO gelding The Prince (Flying Spur-Miss Mocha, by Senor Pete) won over 1200m for trainer Caspar Fownes. The Prince was a $230,000 yearling consigned by Willow Park at the 2009 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 4YO gelding Solar Boy (Al Maher-Racing Queen, by Alysheba) won over 1650m for trainer Peter Ho. Solar Boy was a $15,000 yearling consigned by Emirates Park at the 2008 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 5YO gelding Mr Celerity (Fusaichi Pegasus-Quinsigimond, by Formidable) won over 1000m for trainer Tony Millard. Mr Celerity was an $85,000 yearling at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka.
  • 5YO gelding Taverner (Flying Spur-Atom Angel, by Defensive Play) won over 1400m for trainer Paul O'Sullivan. Taverner was a $170,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
