Dehere Adds US Black-Type

Former Arrowfield Stud & Coolmore shuttler Dehere (Deputy Minister-Sister Dot, by Secretariat) added a US black-type success when 4YO mare Beautician (Dehere-Caroni, by Rubiano) scored a 1-length victory in the $58,800 Listed Pan Zareta Handicap (6 furlongs) for mares 4YO & Up at Fair Grounds in Louisiana. Beautician (ridden by Julien Leparoux for trainer Ken McPeek) defeated 5YO mares Smoky Belle (Macho Uno-Iny Belle, by Lord Carson) & Simplify (Pulpit-Classic Olympio, by Olympio). Beautician (initially a US$42,000 yearling at the 2008 Keeneland January Sale & subsequently a US$110,000 yearling at the 2008 Keeneland September Sale) took her record to 3 wins & 7 placings (including 2010's Gr3 Honeybee Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Oaklawn Park & Listed Belle Cherie Stakes over 8 furlongs at Belmont Park, plus 2009's Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies over 8.5 furlongs at Santa Anita, Gr1 Spinaway Stakes over 7 furlongs at Saratoga & Gr3 Schuylerville Stakes over 6 furlongs at Saratoga) from 16 starts for US$633,175 earnings.
