Multiple Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Hawk Wing (Woodman-La Lorgnette, by Val De L'Orne) added a black-type success when top-weighted 6YO gelding Hawk Island (Hawk Wing-Crimphill, by Sadler's Wells) scored a 3.5-lengths victory in the $100,000 Listed Parramatta Cup (2000m) at Rosehill. Hawk Island (ridden by Hugh Bowman for trainer Chris Waller) defeated Alexander Of Hales (Danehill-Legend Maker, by Sadler's Wells) & Barlagarney (Danehill-Sorb Apple, by Kris).
