Former Darley shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a Japanese group success when Irish-bred 4YO entire Cosmo Meadow (King's Best-Angel Of The Gwaun, by Sadler's Wells) scored a 2-lengths victory in the ¥78.18 million (A$940,000) Gr3 Diamond Stakes (3400m) for 4YOs & up at Tokyo. Cosmo Meadow (ridden by Anthony Crastus for trainer Shihenori Hatakeyama) defeated fellow 4YO entire Cosmo Helenos (Grass Wonder-Star Festa, by Helissio) & 5YO entire Kitasan Amigo (Fuji Kiseki-Admire Happy, by Tony Bin). Cosmo Meadow took his record to 5 wins & 4 placings from 14 starts.
