Late Night Flight Wins Detonator Stakes

WA-based Gr3-winning stallion Red Eye Special (Marooned-Late Flight, by Haulpak) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when 5YO gelding Late Night Flight (Red Eye Special-Polish Spirit, by Dauberval) scored by a nose in the $80,000 Listed Detonator Stakes (1800m) at Ascot in Perth. Late Night Flight (ridden by Troy Turner for trainer Suzanne Forrest) defeated 7YO gelding Rocky Range (Eternity Range-Love The Sun, by Marooned) & evergreen 10YO gelding Changing Lanes (Racer's Edge-Throwing Copper, by Prego). Late Night Flight (an $800 yearling consigned by Lynward Park at the 2007 Magic Millions Perth Thoroughbred Sale) now has 8 wins & 9 placings (including 2010's Listed Grandstand Cup over 1400m at Ascot) from 34 starts for $317,800 earnings.
