3 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong
In Hong Kong last night, 3 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Happy Valley:
- 6YO gelding Grand General (Perugino-Snow Angel, by Zabeel) won over 1650m for trainer Peter Ng. Grand General was a NZ$42,000 yearling consigned by Rodmor Stud at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale & subsequently a NZ$90,000 2YO consigned by Lyndhurst Stud at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock Horses-In-Training Sale.
- 5YO gelding Elite Sixty-Six (Orientate-Siberie, by Caerleon) won over 1200m for expatriate Australian trainer John Moore. Elite Sixty-Six was a $150,000 yearling at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
- 4YO gelding Penglai Xianzi (Encosta de Lago-Isle Of Gibraltar, by Danehill) won over 1650m for trainer Tony Cruz. Penglai Xianzi was a $300,000 yearling at the 2008 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
