Midnight Oil Wins NZ Lowland Stakes

Cambridge Stud's Australian-bred stallion Keeper (Danehill-Nuwirah, by Pleasant Colony) added a NZ group success (& 18th individual stakes-winner) when daughter Midnight Oil (Keeper-Gilded Light, by Gilded Time) scored a 2-lengths victory in the NZ$70,000 Gr3 Lowland Stakes (2100m) for 3YO fillies at Hastings in Hawke's Bay. Midnight Oil (ridden by Rosie Myers for trainer Paul Duncan) defeated Kiwi Lady (Ruby's Jester-Luscious Lady, by Al Akbar) & I Gotta Feeling (His Royal Highness-Cerprized Habit, by Prized). Midnight Oil (passed-in for NZ$15,000 at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Select Yearling Sale at Karaka) took her record to 3 wins from 7 starts for NZ$61,250 earnings.
