US jockey Eduardo Perez recorded his 2,000th winner when 7YO gelding Lighthouse Judge led all-the-way to score over 6 furlongs at Hawthorne Race Course in Illinois. Mexican-born Perez, 45, began riding in 1988 & reached the milestone from 15,887 mounts which have earned US$35.2 million.
