In New Zealand, deceased former Widden Stud shuttler Anabaa (Danzig-Balbonella, by Gay Mecene) added a NZ juvenile Gr1 triumph when favoured Australian-bred daughter Anabandana (Anabaa-Great Notice, by Nureyev) notched her 2nd successive Gr1 win against the males with victory by a nose in the NZ$200,000 Gr1 The Oaks Stud Manawatu Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Awapuni. Anabandana (ridden by Opie Bosson for trainer Don Sellwood) defeated the colt Antonio Lombardo (Pins-Petit Verdot, by Carnegie) & fellow filly Dowager Queen (Savabeel-Dower, by Pins).
