Fast Clip Wins Tulloch Stakes

Monday, 4th April 2011

Widden Stud's dual stakes-winning 2nd-crop stallion Snippetson (Snippets-Snowdrift, by Polish Precedent) added a group success (& 2nd individual stakes-winner) when gelded son Fast Clip (Snippetson-Hint Of Glory, by Honour And Glory) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the $175,000 Gr2 Tulloch Stakes (2000m) for 3YO colts & geldings at Rosehill. Fast Clip (ridden by Nash Rawiller for trainer Gai Waterhouse) defeated the colt I Think I Do (Redoute's Choice-Quays, by Royal Academy) & fellow gelding Shootoff (Duelled-Athenri, by Zabeel). Fast Clip (a $180,000 yearling consigned from Turangga Farm at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) now has 5 wins & 3 runners-up (including March's Gr2 Phar Lap Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill) from 10 starts for $301,780 earnings.
