Hennessy Adds Irish Black-Type

Monday, 4th April 2011

Deceased Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Hennessy (Storm Cat-Island Kitty, by Hawaii) added an Irish black-type success overnight when US-bred daughter Sing Softly (Hennessy-Misty Hour, by Miswaki) scored a 1-length victory in the €40,000 (A$55,000) Listed Loughbrown Stakes (7 furlongs) for 3YOs at The Curragh. Sing Softly (ridden by Colm O'Donoghue for trainer Aidan O'Brien) defeated the colt Defining Year (Hawk Wing-Tajaathub, by Aljabr) & fellow filly Deire Na Sli (Aussie Rules-Malignia, by Pursuit Of Love). Sing Softly now has 2 wins from 3 starts.
