Inglis Yearlings Day-1: $1m Redoute's Choice Filly
Trainer Gerald Ryan paid top price of $1 million for a filly by flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & current Australian Champion Sire Redoute's Choice (the 5th foal out of winning 11-year-old Woodman mare Schiaparelli) during yesterday's opening session at the 3-day Inglis Easter Yearling Sale at Newmarket in Sydney. The filly was consigned by Emirates Park & her dam Schiaparelli (who has already produced Gr2-winner Rothesay) is a half-sister to both stakes-winning & Gr2-placed Astute Angel & stakes-winning & Gr2-placed Causeway Lass. Ryan (who knows the family well, having trained 3/4-brother Rothesay & currently training Rothesay's promising full-sister Fast Shanti) commented: "She's a lovely filly & I think she will run earlier than the other two. Sepoy's in the family & it's a pedigree that can only continue to improve."
