Red Tracer Wins P.J.Bell Stakes

Monday, 11th April 2011

Gr3-winning & triple Gr2-placed Kitchwin Hills stallion Dane Shadow (Danehill-Slight Chance, by Centaine) added a black-type success (& 2nd individual stakes-winner, followed by a 3rd via Hurtle Myrtle at Randwick the following afternoon: reported above) when favoured daughter Red Tracer (Dane Shadow-Kisma, by Snippets) scored by a neck in the $100,000 Listed P.J.Bell Stakes (1200m) for 3YO fillies at Canterbury Park in Sydney. Red Tracer (ridden by Glyn Schofield for trainer Chris Waller) defeated Steps In Time (Danehill Dancer-Rare Insight, by O'Reilly) & Palomares (Commands-Cataclysm, by Marauding). Ultra-consistent Red Tracer took her record to 4 wins & 4 placings (including her last 2 starts in February's Gr2 Patinack Farm Light Fingers Stakes over 1200m at Randwick & March's Gr2 Patinack Farm Surround Stakes over 1400m at Warwick Farm) from 8 starts for $290,010 earnings.
