Gr1-Winning Sire Tamayuz "Out Of Action" With Injury

Thursday, 14th April 2011

In Ireland, dual Gr1-winning 6YO stallion Tamayuz (Nayef-Al Ishq, by Nureyev) "will be out of action during the next month due to injury" reported racingpost.com. Tamayuz (who hails from the immediate family of Galileo, King's Best & Anabaa Blue) is standing his 3rd season at Derrinstown Stud in County Kildare for €15,000 (A$21,000) but "had to have veterinary treatment after injuring his left stifle when he became cast in his stable earlier this week" & veterinary advice "calls for him to be rested for the next 4 weeks". On the track, Tamayuz defeated older rivals to win France's 2008 Gr1 Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard-Jacques le Marois (1600m) at Deauville, following earlier victories in France's Gr1 Prix Jean Prat (1600m) at Chantilly & Gr3 Prix De Fontainebleau (1600m) at Longchamp.
