UK 2YOs Day-1: $416k Danehill Dancer Colt
Thursday, 14th April 2011
Jockey John Egan (buying on behalf of Hong Kong trainer Peter Ho) paid 260,000 guineas (A$416,000) for a colt by former Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (out of Sadler's Wells mare Showbiz) consigned from Norman Williamson's Oak Tree Farm in Ireland. Egan commented: "Peter liked the way this horse went & the colt was his number one pick. I had not sat on this one, but we just really liked him." This colt was another great pin-hooking result, having been bought as a yearling for €65,000 (A$90,000).
