Multiple Gr1-winning 7YO freshman stallion Lawman (Invincible Spirit-Laramie, by Gulch) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO filly Seven Year Itch (Lawman-Stella Del Mattino, by Golden Gear) led all-the-way to score over 5 furlongs at Catterick in the UK for trainer David Evans. French-bred Lawman stands at Ballylinch Stud in Ireland for €15,000 (A$21,000); on the track, Lawman (a half-brother to both Gr1 Prix de Diane-French Oaks winner Latice & 2006 Gr1 runner-up Satri) won 2007's Gr1 Prix du Jockey Club-French Derby (2100m) at Chantilly, Gr1 Prix Jean Prat (1600m) at Chantilly & Gr3 Prix De Guiche (1800m) at Chantilly, before retiring with 4 wins from 7 starts.
