Darley's Gr1-winning 8YO freshman stallion Discreet Cat (Forestry-Pretty Discreet, by Private Account) recorded his 1st winner with his 1st runner when 2YO filly Son de America (Discreet Cat-Elizabeth Street, by Street Cry) scored a debut at Santa Anita for trainer Marcelo Polanco. Son de America was a US$11,000 yearling at the 2010 Keeneland September Sale. Her sire Discreet Cat (standing for US$17,500 in 2011 at Darley Kentucky) recorded 6 wins (3 stakes, including 2006's US Gr1 Cigar Mile over 8 furlongs at Aqueduct, US Gr2 Jerome Breeders' Cup Handicap over 8 furlongs at Belmont Park & Gr2 UAE Derby over 1800m at Nad Al Sheba) & 2 placings (in 2007's US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile over 8 furlongs at Monmouth Park & US Gr1 Vosburgh Stakes over 6 furlongs at Belmont Park) from 9 starts for US$1,694,180 earnings.
