Inglis Melb Yearlings Day-1: 81% Clearance Rate

Monday, 18th April 2011

Overall on Day-1 at the Inglis Autumn Yearling Sale, 156 lots sold for $1,822,000 at an average $11,679 & a median of $8,000. The clearance rate was 81%. Inglis director Peter Heagney commented: "This has been a very strong day of selling. There was excellent competition on most horses & the clearance rate is indicative of vendors being satisfied with what buyers were prepared to pay. But most notably, we had a lot of new buyers here today that we haven't seen participate previously at Oaklands, which is a tremendous result for everybody."
