Sacred Choice Wins Gr1 Doncaster Mile

On the Australian track, multiple Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler & former star Australian sprinter Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a Gr1 triumph when 5YO mare Sacred Choice (Choisir-Sacred Habit, by Sir Tristram) again showed her liking for a rain-soaked track with a 2-lengths victory in the $2 million Gr1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Royal Randwick in Sydney. Sacred Choice (ridden by Tim Clark for trainer Joseph Pride) defeated 4YO entire Love Conquers All (Mossman-She's A Meanie, by Prince Salieri) & 5YO gelding Bold Glance (Sequalo-Flirting Glance, by Al Ameen). Sacred Choice (a $40,000 yearling consigned by Goodwood Farm at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 9 wins (also 2010's Gr1 Myer Classic over 1600m at Flemington, Gr2 Emancipation Stakes over 1600m at Randwick & Listed Aspiration Handicap over 1600m at Randwick) & 9 placings (including March's Gr1 Chipping Norton Stakes over 1600m at Warwick Farm, plus 2010's Gr1 Epsom Handicap over 1600m at Randwick, Gr2 Shannon Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill & Listed Show County Handicap over 1200m at Warwick Farm) from 30 starts for $1,947,640 earnings.
