South Africa Yearlings Day-1: $457k Jet Master Filly

In South Africa, trainer Ormond Ferraris paid top price of R3.2 million (A$457,000) for a filly by reigning champion sire Jet Master (out of Gr3-winning & Gr1-placed Jallad mare Jalberry) during the opening session at the 3-day Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale at the Thoroughbred Breeders Association complex in Germiston. The filly (already named Heart's Content) was consigned by Varsfontein Stud as agent; her Australian-bred granddam Taineberry won the Gr2 Natal Oaks & she hails from the immediate family of this season's Gr1 Bloodstock SA Cape Guineas winner Solo Traveller.
