Monday, 18th April 2011

Kambula Stud's Gr1 Victoria Derby-winning sire Blevic (Scenic-Blooms, by Biscay) added a group success when 4YO gelding Streetcar Magic (Blevic-Stellar Fille, by Filante) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the $115,000 Gr3 D.C.McKay Stakes (1100m) at Morphettville. Streetcar Magic (ridden by Justin Potter for trainer David Jolly) scored by a nose from 5YO mare Valentine Miss (Danetime-Torolosa, by Housebuster) with a further half-head to 5YO gelding Pinwheel (Lonhro-Quilt, by Danehill). Streetcar Magic now has 7 wins (also including 2010's Listed Reliance Stakes over 1050m at Morphettville) & a runner-up from 11 starts for $281,900 earnings.
