Shrewd Rhythm 2011 Fee $6.05k At Lindsay Park
Lindsay Park Stud announced Gr3-winning & Gr1-placed 6YO stallion Shrewd Rhythm (Danehill Dancer-Balcanny, by Canny Lad) will stand at $6,050 in his return season to South Australia's Barossa Valley (after standing in Western Australia last year). Lindsay Park Stud co-principal Darren Thomas noted: "We have not fully finalised our roster for 2011, however we wanted to give breeders the time to seriously consider Shrewd Rhythm. We are big believers in Danehill Dancer as a source of stallions. His female family traces directly to Selene & the Danehill/Canny Lad cross speaks for itself." Part-owned by Patinack Farm, a select number of shares in Shrewd Rhythm will also be made available to breeders & Thomas added: "Nathan (Tinkler) has committed 10-15 mares to Shrewd Rhythm, which is a great endorsement for the stallion & our local industry. His stable in Adelaide is firing & he wants to support it with SABOIS-qualified horses . . . . . he thinks ahead." On the track, Shrewd Rhythm (a $130,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne) recorded 4 wins (including 2007's Gr3 Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Prelude over 1100m at Caulfield & Listed Vain Stakes over 1100m at Caulfield) & 4 placings (including 2007's Gr1 Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield, Gr3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude over 1400m & Inglis Premier over 1200m at Caulfield) from 18 starts for $443,113 earnings.
