Florida 2YOs Day-1: Average Up 25%
Overall on Day-1 in Florida, 189 lots sold for US$5,517,900 (up 20.5% on last year's 196 sold for US $4,579,100). The average of US$29,195 was up 25% (last year US$23,363) & the median of US$20,000 was up 11.1% (last year US$18,000). The buy-back rate was 30.8% (up from last year's 25.7%). Leading bloodstock agent Buzz Chace told bloodhorse.com: "It's a typical Ocala sale where there are a lot of nice horses going through (the auction ring) & there are horses for everyone. When a real nice horse goes in, there are people here to buy it."
