Trainer Chris Vilcins 2-Months Ban Over "Bleeder Non-Report"
Victorian stewards yesterday concluded an inquiry into a "report that Twelve Peers had suffered a bleeding attack" at Moe on April 7. Stewards duly deemed Twelve Peers to be a bleeder & ordered that the gelding "shall not be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for period of 2 months & may not race for a period of 3 months, only after galloping satisfactorily over at least 1000m in the presence of a steward". Stewards also found trainer Chris Vilcins gulity of "failing to report without delay to the stewards that Twelve Peers had suffered a bleeding attack" & suspended his licence for 2 months.
